We’re coming to the end of the year and the days are getting shorter. If you clean your lightbulbs, your house can be brighter and you can save money!
Other tasks you can do to help you save some money going into the new year are evaluate your homeowner’s insurance, pack a home emergency kit, and buy holiday lights.
Each December you can do an annual check up on your homeowner’s insurance. Call you agent to check your coverages and ask if there’s any way to lower your premiums.
When you are in the middle of the holidays and family gatherings, you want to be prepared for power outages and weather related emergencies. Some things to include in your emergency kit are bottled water, a weather radio, flashlight, batteries, phone charger (that doesn’t need to be plugged in!), and a first aid kit.
Lastly, once Christmas has past, be sure to pick up a great deal on lights and decorations for next Christmas!
